
Cara Walker joined Waggener Edstrom in 1994 and currently leads the T-Mobile USA account overseeing a ten person account team focused on supporting both external and internal communications for the company and its products and services.
Before taking her current role, Cara oversaw PR for Microsoft’s unified communications and business applications efforts. Before that, Cara led PR for the Mobile Devices Division, from the Pocket PC launch through the introduction of Smartphone in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States, and the Windows Mobile brand.
She has experience across many facets of the PR discipline including news, competitive campaigns, issues management, reviews and analyst relations. Cara’s Microsoft account experience includes time on BackOffice and Windows, including the Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 98 product launches. She also worked on the Microsoft corporate PR team, coordinating PR for Microsoft’s Product Support Services for the launch of Windows 95 in addition to other corporate team responsibilities.
Before joining Waggener Edstrom, Cara worked in PR for the Salvation Army.
She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon.
