Corey duBrowa brings 20 years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, marketing and management to Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. He consults with account teams across the agency on issues that include corporate reputation management, change communication, crisis and issues management, employee communication, investor relations, corporate brand-building, public affairs and strategy incorporating the agency’s Innovation Communications(sm) storytelling methodology.

Before joining Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in 2000, Corey served as a vice president for Ketchum Sheppard, a division of Ketchum Worldwide in Portland, Ore., where he worked with clients that included BP, Louisiana-Pacific Corp., Nike Inc., J.C. Penney and Whirlpool Corp. Before that, he worked for Nike and served in a variety of roles involving employee communications, urban marketing, issues management and regional management throughout the Latin and South American region. At Waggener Edstrom Worldwide he leads the agency’s North American team and Global Practices group in addition to serving on the agency’s board.

A longtime resident of Oregon, Corey received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon in 1988. He currently serves as the president-elect for the university’s Alumni Association and has also held roles with a Portland-area school board, the Portland Chapter of the Boys and Girls Club and as the chief of staff for the campaign chair of the United Way of Portland. He is an accomplished freelance music journalist, having published more than 700 stories in publications including Rolling Stone, Magnet Magazine, Paste, the Village Voice and (Portland) Oregonian.
