David Henderson joined Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in 2001 and currently leads the agency’s T-Mobile USA account, providing leadership in areas such as media and analyst relations, story development, executive visibility and message management for new consumer products and services.
David has worked with a number of clients to build successful top story programs that positioned them as thought leaders within the industry, while also generating consumer awareness. His pitching prowess and ability to synthesize consumer trends and insights into a compelling storyline is one of his greatest strengths.
David’s range of expertise includes consumer, home entertainment and convergence products, wireless content and new media, mobile and handheld products, broadband and wireless networks, voice recognition, and security. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in a broad range of marketing communications activities and programs and is a skilled public relations writer, planner and strategist.
David has also been a key contributor to other accounts including Connexion by Boeing, HTC, Microsoft, Nau, Siemens, Terabeam, Texas Instruments DLP, Universal Electronics and VoiceBox Technologies.
Before joining Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, David worked for Rolling Thunder Marketing in Bothell, Wash., where he managed a team of public relations professionals who served clients in the wireless, network security, business-to-business and e-commerce industries. David developed and implemented successful public relations plans for clients such as ArrayComm, Xtime and ImproveNet. For ArrayComm, David managed public relations campaigns in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America, generating results that greatly contributed to the company’s success in securing contracts with target original equipment manufacturers and wireless carriers.
David has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Central Washington University. Prior to graduating in 1999, he conducted a reporting internship at the Seattle Times.
