
Elizabeth O’Connor joined Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in October 2003 as a member of Microsoft’s Security Technology Unit. In this role, Elizabeth focused on the company’s Security Image Campaign as well as customer guidance and education. She also contributed to the company’s work on Windows Vista security and broader leadership efforts, including the PR management of Microsoft’s Security Summits and the company’s role at RSA Conference the past 3 years in addition to other industry events. Following Elizabeth’s tenure with the Microsoft security team, she joined the Consumer Group in May 2007 and is currently focused on providing strategic counsel on media relations for HTC and Microsoft’s Smart Personal Objects Technology group (SPOT).
Before joining the agency, Elizabeth worked as a district office legislative aid for U.S. Congresswoman Jennifer Dunn in Seattle, and as a news editor for the FOX News affiliate in Phoenix, AZ.
Originally from central Washington, Elizabeth attended Cornell University where she played on the Women’s Varsity Ice Hockey team. Following an injury, she transferred to Arizona State University where she graduated with a degree in organizational communications. In her spare time, you can find her in the kitchen trying a new recipe or playing tennis with her husband. As an avid traveler, Elizabeth and her husband aspire to visit a new country every year.
