Matt Wakefield

Matt Wakefield joined Waggener Edstrom Worldwide’s Consumer Team in June 2007 and currently works on T-Mobile’s internal communication efforts. He works with the human resources communication team, driving communication initiatives across the wide spectrum of T-Mobile employees.

Before joining Waggener Edstrom, Matt worked with Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) in the public relations department. There, he worked with consumer and trade media to secure positive editorial coverage for the city as a destination for travelers and conventions. His role with SCVB included corporate communications, media tracking, event promotion and video production. He also worked on the public relations team that launched Seattle’s new brand and tagline: Seattle, metronatural.

Matt graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication with an emphasis on public relations and wrote for the school paper, the Daily Evergreen. When he’s not crafting employee communication initiatives, you’ll find him crafting one of the finest dunkel hefeweizen beers this side of the Rhine River.
