
Natalie Surowiecki joined the Waggener Edstrom Consumer Team in October 2007. She provides executive support to Kazumi Mechling, EVP and group practice leader.
Before joining Waggener Edstrom, Natalie worked in the Community Building practice at Communications Pacific, a public relations firm in Honolulu, Hawaii. Prior to that Natalie worked at Sydney Seafood School at Sydney Fish Market, the leading recreational cooking school in Australia. She worked alongside top chefs including Armando Percuoco, Guillaume Brahimi and David Thompson, and played a critical role in establishing major sponsorship agreements with companies such as Clorox, Barilla and OXO. Natalie also worked with the Council of Italian Restaurants in Australia, helping them to establish their marketing plans, operating systems and website. She also played a key role in the establishment of “Gusto,” a prominent food and wine festival, now held at Sydney Fish Market on an annual basis.
In her spare time Natalie enjoys travelling the globe, as well as trying out new recipes, especially those with seafood. A native of Australia, Natalie has been on the move in the last 12 months, now settling in Seattle with her husband and cat.
Natalie graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus on human resource management. She also has tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management, being awarded the TAFE NSW State Medal for excellence in her studies.
