
Tommy Tse joined Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in July 2007. As a member of the Consumer Marketing team, Tommy’s work is primarily on the Microsoft Windows Home Server account and includes media and analyst relations, as well as running a reviews program leading up to the launch of Windows Home Server.
Before joining the agency, Tommy worked at GolinHarris International, where he helped launch MYX, a music lifestyle television channel for Asian Americans, landing coverage in top-tier business, ethnic and trade media including BusinessWeek, AsianWeek, and a multimedia story in the San Jose Mercury News. Tommy was also instrumental in driving media and analyst relations for the ZigBee Alliance, helping establish ZigBee as the leading wireless standard for use in energy, residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Tommy began his career writing and translating for the current affairs programs A Week in Politics and Media Watch at Radio and Television Hong Kong. His public relations experience also includes work at a dotcom startup and a technology focused boutique agency. He has gained results for clients in the areas of consumer technology, wireless, VoIP telephony, banking, smart card security and ethnic cable television.
Tommy holds an M.A. in Communication from Hong Kong Baptist University and a B.A. in Communication from the University of California, Davis. He studied Japanese and International Business at Meiji Gakuin University in Yokohama, Japan and is fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) and knowledgeable in basic conversational Japanese.
